Having secured funding from the Reaching Communities National Lottery Grant, we are looking for two project coordinators to lead the direction and delivery of exciting community projects in 2024 – 2025, reaching a wide and diverse range of intergenerational black and minority ethnic communities. The project coordinators will also deal with the project finances and oversee the development of our project partnerships.
BlackFest have delivered 2 cohorts of empowering women’s projects that are being consolidated into the Women 4 Women programme. Women are powerful when they come together and pay the way forward. This programme is designed to support NEET intergenerational women, single mums and women who feel isolated to come together to use creative writing, and skilled arts practices, as a self-development tool that gives women the confidence to move out of NEET status to gain access to work, education or training and make arts accessible supporting each other.

BlackFest has delivered well-being workshops and retreats since 2019, supporting Black and GM holistic and arts-based therapists in providing a safe space well-being programme to the community. This project is a consolidation of all well-being initiatives, which will provide continued support, leading to a retreat every year.
