The BlackFest Writers Room invited audiences to an exciting showcase of new emerging black writers and writers of colour, supported by the Royal Court Theatre’s Community Participation Director Mirriam Mussa and guided by independent writing guru Maurice Bessman. The event was in association with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, the project aimed to give platform to our selected four featured emerging writers to showcase a 15 minute play each.
